2026-27 Code of Conduct and District Safety Plan Updates

Dear Pearl River Families,
Both the Code of Conduct and the District Safety Plan must go out to the community for public comment for 30 days. After the 30-day comment period (July 10th - Aug 10th), there will be a public hearing (Aug 11th), and finally the Board of Education will vote to approve the documents (Aug 11th).
District Safety Plan:
The 2026-2027 draft District Safety Plan (which includes the Pandemic Illness and Remote Learning Plans) was prepared by the district’s administrative team and the District Safety Team. The District Safety Plan is a public framework required by the SAVE law to prevent, respond to, and recover from multi-hazard emergencies and incidents across an entire school district. There are several technical updates with no substantive changes from the 2025-2026 Plan.
