Dear Pearl River Families,

Welcome to a new school year! I hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and memorable summer. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I want to extend a very warm welcome back to all of our families.

As the Director of Special Services, I am honored to work alongside you, your children, and our dedicated team of teachers, related service providers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and support staff. Together, we share an important goal, to ensure that every student is given the opportunity to learn, grow, feel valued, and reach their fullest potential.

We recognize that every child is unique, and every family’s journey through special education is different. Whether your child is returning to a familiar program, beginning a new school, transitioning to a new placement, or receiving new services this year, we are committed to supporting you every step of the way. Please continue to monitor the district special services Partnering for Success website for upcoming workshops and support offered in our community.

We also understand that navigating special education can sometimes feel overwhelming. Please know that you do not have to navigate it alone. Our staff is here to listen, answer questions, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with you. We encourage you to reach out whenever you need assistance or simply have a question about your child's education or services.

Your insight, questions, concerns, and celebrations help us better understand your child and provide the support they need. We believe the strongest outcomes happen when families and schools work together as partners. Your input and collaboration is important to us, and we encourage you to remain an active part of your child's educational team.

Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and commitment to your children. Here’s to a school year filled with new opportunities, meaningful connections, growth, and many moments to celebrate!

Warm regards,

Tina Marie Woods
